    A good turnout of returning and new members greeted the opening of the 2023 season, enjoying hot dogs, salad and trifles. President Kath Matthews welcomed everyone, before chairing a short Extraordinary General Meeting to approve the revised Constitution. She then was able to announce the awarding of honorary life memberships to long-standing club members and supporters Don and Margaret Cartwright.

    Following the formalities a dozen or so hardy members took to the green for a few ends - finding it in excellent condition and bowling well.
