Around 40 members and partners gathered for the Club's Annual Presentation Lunch at Chapters Restaurant, Lilleshall. After an excellent meal Competition Secretary Alan Harvey presided over the awards ceremonies, with the trophies presented by Jennifer Sibbald-Wall, Contract Manager of the Lilleshall National Sports & Conferencing Centre.
While the winners of the various bowls competitions were known, two further awards were made. Captain Sheila Payne chose Steve Turner to receive her Captain's Award for 2024, recognising the work he had put in selling surplus items from the clubhouse to both free up space and raise funds. She also announced the winner of the Cyril Davies Tour Trophy as Chris Sherriff, recognising his excellent woodworking skills which were put to great use making "jack-in-the-box" jack holders which were presented to the clubs we visited on tour.
