    • The majority of members turned out for Opening Day, enjoying a fish & chip lunch, listening to speeches from committee members and some even braving a chill breeze to play a few ends of bowls.

    A particularly enjoyable moment was the naming of the clubhouse after founder member David Herrick. Former Club Captain and life member Emrys Davies spoke humourously and warmly about David, remembering numerous incidents from the early days of the Club.

    Last year's Captain, Mike Caird, completed some 'unfinished business' by presenting his Captain's Award for 2018 to Rob Attwood (previous awards).

    After all the speeches Captain Kath Matthews took to the green to 'bowl off' to open the season.
