Six teams of mixed triples took to the green to contest the Jack Borrett Rosebowl competition. Two teams had been invited from St.Michael's BC to boost the event, which is traditionally a charity fundraiser.
The format was a league with every team playing each other over six ends of 2-wood triples. As so often happens in these short-format matches no team escaped unbeaten, but two teams managed four wins from five games. Shot difference was therefore taken into account, with the result that runners up, from St.Michael's, were Brian Parsons, Jean Berne and Noel Morris, while the narrow winners, from Lilleshall, were Liz and Mike Caird and Quentin Smith. It was the third win for the trio - having previously won in 2006 and 2008.
The match fees were added to the proceeds of a donated raffle, with over £100 being raised for the Severn Hospice. Previous Winners
