  • Competition Draws (May 2018)

    • The draws for the 2018 club knock-out competitions were made at the May Executive Committee meeting.

    It was encouraging to see many of the club's new members entering and the draw threw up some tasty first round matches.

    In three competitions last year's finallists were drawn to play each other in the first round - Mike Caird and Frank Hill in the Caird Cup, Quentin Smith and Rod Payne in the men's singles Warburton Cup and Quentin again drawn to play Sheila Payne in the handicapped Tarmac Cup. In contrast to last year, when all four semi-finallists were playing off scratch, the Tarmac Cup draw ensures that at least two semi-finallists will have positive handicaps.
