Borrett Cup Mixed Triples League (September 2024)
Five teams contested the Borrett Cup triples league this season. Traditionally a mixed competition, as Jack and Beryl Borrett were very strong believers in equality within the club, the league teams were 'randomly' drawn, but done in such a way that all teams were mixed. Team C - Steve Turner, Ruth Lowe and Mark Hussell (with sub Alan Harvey playing in place of Ruth a couple of times) came out on top with four wins from four games. A nice result for Mark whose team was runner up last year. Second place went to team D - Clive Kimberley, Dave Aveley and Sheila Payne (with sub Mike Bradburn) with three wins from four.
