Bowls England Mens' Two Fours competition (May 2024)

Lilleshall lost a nail-biting home match against Evesham on Sunday 19 May. As often happens in these games one rink started well and by the halfway stage Alan Harvey, Dominic Simcoe, Mark Kaleta and Mark Hussell were 17-6 up. On the other rink Martin Davies, Peter Hancock, Rod Payne and Chris Sherriff had recovered from a 1-7 deficit to be just a single shot down, but then a disastrous six dropped them well back.

Mark's rink were pegged right back by their opponents over the last five ends and they finished 22-21 up. Chris's rink fought back and going into their last end had reduced their deficit to four shots and needed three to force an extra end. Chris played two excellent draws to add to an earlier shot, but the Evesham skip was equal to the task and took out one of the Lilleshall bowls to take the win.
